A 130 m² commercial space for interior design, furniture, lighting and objects. (Predictably renewable products in stock – new season/new products). The voracity of a market subjected to the slavery of creatives!

Two annexed stores formed a "U" shaped aquarium around a stairwell of a housing condominium. Visible beans on the ceiling and inconvenient pillars – accidents of the space – deformed the simplicity and were obstacles to work around. The amount for construction? Little or nothing. The client's – my father! – eyes were flooded with concerns. Program: to organise one exhibition space with a lot of presentable items and hidden storage (papers and stocks), one toilet and one counter. A small work must be the result of synthesis or it becomes an insatiable lover, a devourer of effort, patience and time. And at the end of the day, we just want a good sight...

Material: plaster, 15 cm beech wood planks, Terrazzo and one or other copper "lighting accessory". First – The plaster establishes the limits to the scenic space, where the shadows move and the products are displayed. The white mass, cut like a cave, divides and organises the space from the ceiling. Second – The wood - sustains the sculpture, defends it from the violence of the brooms and is transformed to design storage, drawers and doors.
Third – The Terrazzo floor is plastic enough to be metamorphosed into the main element in the store – the counter.
The rest is light.
